Profile

Ian is a Partner in the firm of Cairns Slane and has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law. He has undertaken large-scale commercial acquisitions and dispositions for corporate clients, from the due diligence stage to settlement.  Ian provides general and strategic company and commercial advice to clients, and has also acted on commercial property sale and purchases and general leasing arrangements including the disposition of a multi-million dollar forestry right.   Ian also worked on corporate recovery and restructuring transactions, acting for administrators of companies.

Ian has provided strategic advice to clients in business and share sale and purchases, establishing shareholder agreements, advising on shareholder disputes as well as general company and commercial issues, commercial property matters, including acquisitions and negotiating and drafting various leasing and sub-leasing arrangements for landlord and tenant clients.
